Behind, the photo of Alfred, the bust of Mahler by Rodin. On the wall, the etchings by her father, Ferdinand Schmutzer, of the Rosé Quartet, and of Richard Strauss

At Christmas.
They received wishes from all over the world. I used to give the cards from the Wiener Werkstätte, where she had worked herself, which I got from the metropolitan Museum in New York.
